I just saw this film earlier today. If you can get over a couple of crude scenes, including the one in the opener, I think that people would enjoy this film. The movie had good character and plot development and some funny scenes. It had a nice ending as well.

You're welcome Annie, I hope you enjoy it. No family is perfect, however what the film portrays is that love is what keeps us all together.

My sister said she saw it the other night and thought it was boring but, I can't really go by her. She like artsy kind of films, But maybe I'll wait for the DVD.

I saw it last week and felt it was a little slow. I would not recommend it to anyone. I left thinking thank goodness I did not have to pay for that! (My BIL is the mgr.)

glad to hear the review, I am glad I didn't end up spending $10 for the movie. Why oh, why do movie makers seem to think it is OK to put in such crude things. Why can't they just make a fun family friendly movie, without all the junk!!!

yeah.. I went with my girlfriend and her kids.. Wasn't really expecting some of the crudeness in it. It was kind of uncomfortable for everyone. Not to mention that the movie kind of shoved that being married was really bad. I think they ended up having a baby out of wed lock

The movie did paint some families in a bad light, however there is a certain amount of truth to how some of the families were portrayed in the movie though.

The last family of the four christmases was the most sane, and showed that one should put their past differences aside for the sake of love and harmony.

True, the movie did seem to imply that they did not get married at all, however didn't the news reporters in the film say a married name? I am not sure.

Anyhow Vince Vaughn and Reese Weatherspoon's characters didn't initially want to take the next step because they didn't want to become what their families were like. None the less they ended up commiting to being with each other anyway.

Sorry for spoiling it for ya.

It was an ok movie for what it was. There really are not too many comedies out right now, and the ones that are really are not that good. This is probably the best of what is right now.
