Do you think (pure speculation...since most secret societies and their goals, etc. are ......well, ...SECRET!, lol  ) that secret societies may have a part in the End Times?

Personally, I think the entire concept of Illuminati, or any other all-powerful secret society, is basically bogus. Would this kind of program be allowed on TV if they were really hitting on anything real?
But, if these groups are real, then I would say that they'd only be doing what God wants them to do in terms of end-times events.

I do think that some of these secret societies are serving as a vehicle to make the world ripe for these end time events. Here are some groups that have been discussed, but I will post them for you to Google at your leisure:
- Bilderberg
- Council on Foreign Relations
- Trilateral Commission
- Royal Institute of International Affairs
- Bohemian Grove - This one is especially interesting
- New World Order
I still say, do some more research on the Illuminati and Freemasons. There are a lot of kook-worthy sites out there, but there's also a lot of credible information to illustrate their potential involvement in moving us toward one world everything.
Some other Google-worthy points:
- The Creature from Jekyll Island
- David Rockefeller
- Lord Rothschild
- RFID Technology
In the U.S.A., one defender of our Constitution has been consistently fighting for our liberties and a lot of what he has to say is very credible:
- Congressman Ron Paul
One point I do have to make is the political, economical, and ecumenical circumstances that will prevail during the end time events aren't going to pop up overnight. No, I strongly believe that it will have to be a system that is slowly acclimating the people of the world. It is the frog in the kettle scenario. Therefore, I do think that the powers that are driving such world changes have to have been working for a long time and the work passed from one generation to the next. Do your research on it, and compare it to what you know from your study of the Bible. One thing is for sure, none of this could take place unless it was working in accordance with God's grand plan.

Well, I think it is probable that a good way to discredit the truth is to report these views in the light of being absurd. If I was the mastermind behind some nefarious plan to subject the world to my will, I would definitely discredit such claims by reporting it under the category of conspiracy theory. It is called hiding in plain sight.
It's also about the labeling:
- People reporting these types of plans = conspiracy theories/nuts
- Conservative people of faith = Religious Right Wing Fundamentalists
- Those who protest the government's foreign policies and the wars = Unpatriotic, terrorist sympathizers
People, the labels are being established. And the average person doesn't want to be seen as a nut, unpatriotic, and/or terrorist sympathizers. Therefore, it becomes easy for the powers-that-be to debunk these positions and reports to the masses. Most people would rather fit in with the majority (they want to be a part of the winning or popular team). Unfortunately, it is going to be the perceived majority that loses in the end.
Another thing to consider is who owns the media? What affiliations do they have to such supposed conspiracies? Do they have a motive to debunk or discredit such views?
Then again, maybe I've been reading too many comic books.

The Rothchilds have wanted control of America since the pilgrims arrived. They even sent mercenaries to America during the American Revolution to wipe us out! These groups do exist ... bunch of money-hungry, greedy people. Also read of the Omega Agency which supposedly tells CFR and the President what to do. Two names associated with Omega are George Bush, Sr. and Alexander Haig. Can't find anymore names. Jekyl Island and the Federal Reserve party! Good ole Woodrow Wilson selling us out! FDR putting the Masonic emblem on the back of our dollar bill ... it reads new world order under the triangle. Looks like we've been lied to for a very long time!
