How do you vent anger - frustration - stress... whatever?

Some people play golf. Someone I know uses the arts - when I heard that, I thought it was so brilliant. Hope she finds this thread!

I play piano - haha, I lock myself away and play piano in dark, minor keys! Also- I love to get near water or sit outside on a windy day. I miss living near a coastline.

What do you do?

I work out extra hard or go on an extended power walk. Thanks be to Him most times that is not needed due to the peace I receive after I lay my frustrations at the feet of the Father.

Pray and ask God to comfort me and then cry and cry until I can't any more!

I sometimes go for a run or call a friend, that helps too!

I also listen to Kids In The Way...or some other hard core Christian Rock...

Sit and cry. Then usually go for a long walk or play with the dog.

I call my sister.
I call my best friend.
I type. Yep I sit at my computer and type out EVERYTHING I'm feeling thinking or whatever, usually in a word document. It helps me get things out where I can see them.
I take a walk with my camera and snap photos, but I'd do that anyway.
I hug my kids.

I can't sit down and do anything that requires me to think creatively - my brain can't function like that!

Blessings,

Garsy

I pray, there is very few thing's that will calm me down, but when I let my Holy Father know what's on my mind,I lay everything down to Him and just cry, it's very effective

I also will hold my daughter and just watch her, somtimes I sing hymes to her, and that calms me down quite a bit also.

I use to write everything down, but seeing it all in word's just makes more upset

and I'm not creative in any way shape or form, so that is out the window for me

hmmm, I like this - isn't it something how comforting another eases us also? I'm gonna try THIS next time I get vent-needy!

I write or call a friend and complain to him/her.I mostly complain to my closest friend Myra.I also write in my journal and pray about things when I am really upset as well.Time with God always makes me feel better.

When my kids were babies and small holding them always comforted me. I loved rocking babies. Then I did the same with my grandkids.

Now I just talk to friends. Need that everyday.

I cry.

Need to pray more.

If I cry, it makes me worse -- I hate crying. It is irritating, frustrating, and makes me angry.

So if I am angry, I do art, write poems or prose. Sometimes, the writings are angry, but often, they are funny, because laughter helps me get over stuff.

If I'm sad, I sing or write. After singing a little, I start singing the blues, only I toward the end, I start making up the words as I go along, because I make them funny.

oh yeah I am sure that helps! I will need to try it, next time I need to vent I will take my Christmas tree down, and then put it back up .

I find cleaning calms me down, but mostly because I am either praying while I am cleaning, or I am just talking to myself

And find it she did! Haha - sometimes I sing that old Hee-Haw song "Gloom, despair and agony on me!" I can't even get through the first line with out laughing!

I would get through the first line and start laughing, then tell myself to stop laughing because I am supposed to be mad

Oye.

In answer to the question, I vent by finding someone to talk to about whatever is bothering me. Not a very typical man thing to do, but anyway. I also listen to music sometimes, however the only other thing that seems to help me vent is to just sleep instead.

The question IS... do they talk back?
