OK, are there any College basketball fans here???

Or at least people who do the bracket in march?

I love college basketball and my team is doing really well this year, so I'm really excited for the NCAA Tournament to start!

What about you, how's your team doing? Going do a bracket? Who's your favorite to win it all?

Here's this week's rankings

I fill out a bracket every year. I used to work at a place that had a contest, and the winner got lunch courtesy of the losers.

I don't have a favorite team, and this year's bracket is going to be really tough because there are no clearly dominant teams. There have been something like 6 or 7 different teams at #1.

I hope they don't extend the tournament to 96 teams. 64 seems to be just about right. Those who don't make the 64 can always go to the NIT. In fact I hope they do since they play a lot of NIT games in this area and the tickets are easier to get than the NCAA's.

well the thing is name team number one this year and they run from it.

one thing i love is north carolina falling apart this year

alabama fan but SEC fan second. go Kentucky although Kansas, Kansas St, Syracuse all gonna be tough i really look for a cinderella to take it all this year. no clear power shown themselves. purdue was tough then main guy goes down. its a mess. I will go out on a limb and say UConn women will win out

I wonder if the 96-team proposal is designed to let the NCAA sell the rights to the tournament (we're near an opt-out year for the CBS deal) to ESPN and push it to pay-per-view. There is no doubt ESPN would want it to take it away from CBS, which is in its 29th year with the NCAA, and push all 79 games (under the 96-team format, there would be 79 games) 63 games plus to premium cable, with Pay Per View especially for early round games ($9.95 to get the entire game of the game you want to watch) with ESPN airing just whips of all four games at the same time, unlike the current CBS deal, where affiliates can choose games (and put "must carry" on games in home markets -- such as WCSC in 1994 airing the entire Charleston-Wake Forest game because of the "must carry" rule). The Final Four and Championship Game could be pay-per-view.

First, Kansas fan and I think they're going to go all the way. Kentucky is good, so is Syracuse and and few others but I like the Jayhawks the most (I may be a little byist though...)

Second I really hope they don't go to 96 teams...I have trouble enough with trying to do my bracket with 65 teams.

I would really like to see someone other than Kentucky, Kansas, or Syracuse win it all. I couldn't tell you who that might be though. I like the idea of a cinderella team taking it all this year.

With so many really good teams this year there aren't going to be many chances for a Cinderella. There were something like 8 different #1 teams this year.

No way, it would be too easy to just out-muscle them.

Go Wofford!!!!!

women. UConn until they decide to lose

men. I think a cinderella gonna take it this year. the so many number 1 we had this year only says no one was OP and everyone truly was vulnerable.

I am rooting for West Virginia honestly

I do a bracket and enter it in several different pools every year for fun. Why? I have no idea because I'm usually out of the running after the first weekend, but I keep going back. Last year I would have won the main group I join if UConn would have beat Michigan St. in their Final 4 matchup.

My Final 4 this year is Kansas, Kansas St., West Virginia, and Baylor with Kansas beating WVU in final. I was surpised that I put 3 Big 12 teams in the Final 4. I just don't believe Syracuse, Kentucky, and Duke will make it.

As has been mentioned, this is a hard year to do brackets due to the parity and the different teams that were #1 during the year. Also, you don't know which "team" is going to show up a lot of times. I'm a Clemson fan and hope we get our first NCAA win in years. This is our 3rd year in a row in the big dance which is a big deal for us because it hasn't happened before. Clemson has had a few games this year where they would have a chance to beat anybody, but they have also had several games where anybody could beat them. Many teams fall in this category.

One of my upsets for this year is Wofford over Wisconsin. I live close to Wofford, and it is a great story with them getting their first chance in the tourney. What are some of your upset picks?

This is my 3rd year to do a bracket...still not very good. I'm awful at choosing upsets. I picked the winner in 08 though...:)

I like your Final Four....looks like my except I've got Kentucky in there instead of W. Virginia. Duke has really not impressed me much, I think Kansas St. can beat Syracuse, and W. Virginia/Kentucky was a toss up for me.

Is Clemson facing Missouri? I think they are...I don't have the whole bracket memorized... :\

I thought about having Wofford over Wisconsin... I got a lot of 10s over 7s and a few 9s over 8s but nothing really exciting. I'm still thinking about changing a few of mine...I'm sorta stumped...oh well.

Ok, day one is almost over....

Lots of upsets-

#13 Murray State over #4 Vanderbilt,

#11 Old Dominion over #6 Notre Dame,

#10 St. Mary's over #7 Richmond (not a big upset there)

.....and the big braket busters for me....

#11 Washington beating #6 Marquette &

#14 Ohio over #3 Georgetown!

Fun, fun, fun! I love March Madness...

Go Jayhawks!

7 double digit seeds won yesterday. I'm soooo glad I don't have any money riding on this tourney.

You must be exhausted after the first round. I can't believe how many low seeds have won.

as has happened the past couple of years, my clemson tigers bow out in the first round. biggest thing to hurt my bracket is g'town losing to ohio. i had g'town losing to kansas. this shouldn't hurt too bad because most people probably had g'town getting that far.

sad wofford lost in first round as well. they had a chance but turned it over down the stretch. great game.

this has been one of the most exciting tourneys in years with thursday being arguable the best first day ever.

Villanova's toast, and Kansas is losing to Northern Iowa by 11 with 10 minutes to go. This is one nutty tournament! We could see a number 10 or lower take the whole thing.
